Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy Tour

Please enter an introduction for your news story here.

34 pupils went to Wolverhampton Wanders FC to take part in a football tour. On the Friday pupils were put through their paces with a training session run by Wolves coaches held at their Academy training centre. Following this, the pupils had a behind the scenes tour of Wolves home ground Molineux, gaining' insight into the Premier League ground, ending up in their mega store.

On Saturday morning, there was an early start to play a local team, Parkfields FC at their home ground. Both teams played well, with particular mention to Cai Norton for some superb saves, Tristan Green for his constant work rate and skill, Bailey Kerslake for her control of the game from the middle of the pitch, Josh Evans for scoring the opening goal and assisting another and Charlie Bartlett for rising high at the back post to power home a header with the last play of the game to secure a draw. On Saturday evening, pupils took their seats in the South stand to support Wolves v Arsenal. The atmosphere was electric, and pupils were fully immersed, joining in with the local support. Arsenal took the win by two goals to zero.

Sunday saw another training session at the Wolves academy before departing for home. An exceptional experience for all pupils. We are already looking forward to the football trip next year.
